Puppetmongers and the Movies: Recent activities

  • We were the Pupperty Department for the feature film Mr. Magorium's Wonder Emporium. Written and directed by Zack Helm, and staring Dustin Hoffman and Natalie Portman; to be released for Christmas 2007. For this major project we:

    • We made models and action props.
    • We created, built and oversaw the construction of puppets and related set components.
    • Manipulated puppets on set.

  • We created the shadow puppetry images in Laura Taler's dance film Death and the Maiden, did Indonesian shadow theatre scenes for a History Channel special about the Bre X scandal, and numerous other smaller projects.
